Ha Tien Cement Company 1, formerly known as Ha Tien Cement Factory, is supplied with equipment by VENOT.PIC of the French Republic. In 1964, the factory was officially put into operation with an initial capacity of 240,000 tons of clinker / year in Kien Luong, and 280,000 tons of cement / year at Thu Duc Factory.
In 1974, Ha Tien Cement Factory signed a credit agreement and cooperated with POLYSIUS (France) to expand the factory, increasing the design capacity from 300,000 tons of cement / year to 1,300,000 tons of cement. /year. This agreement was later re-invoked by the Revolutionary government in 1977.
In 1981, Ha Tien Cement Factory was split into Kien Luong Cement Factory and Thu Duc Cement Factory. And in 1983, the two factories were merged and renamed as Ha Tien Cement Factory.
On August 19, 1986, the No. 3 mill officially came into operation and in February 1991, the clinker heating line in Kien Luong was also put into operation, bringing the factory's capacity to 1,300,000 tons of cement. /year.
